Kaimán Jiménez (Oscar Jiménez) is a Colombian-born, Melbourne-based artist, MC, producer and cultural curator whose work bridges Caribbean roots with contemporary global sounds. Originally from Barranquilla and now based in Australia, his practice explores the intersection of music, identity and diaspora, bringing together tropical rhythms, electronic production and live performance.

As frontman of Amaru Tribe and former member of Watussi, Kaimán has performed across major festivals and stages in Australia and internationally, building a reputation for high-energy, immersive shows. His solo work expands this vision, blending MC performance, DJ culture and original productions influenced by picó sound system traditions, champeta and global bass.

Beyond performance, Kaimán is the founder of Vibrating Planet, a cultural agency and independent label through which he develops events, tours and collaborative projects that connect artists and communities across continents.

His work moves fluidly between stage, dancefloor and community space, positioning music as a tool for cultural exchange and collective experience. Whether performing live or curating events, Kaimán Jiménez creates vibrant, boundary-crossing experiences that reflect the evolving sound of the Caribbean in diaspora.
